“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do.”

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy offers a dedicated space to explore personal challenges, gain insight, and foster growth. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, boundary issues, or life transitions, reaching out for therapy can provide valuable support.
I work with both teens and adults, using narrative therapy to help you understand and reframe your personal story. We’ll examine how your experiences shape your present and future, uncovering new perspectives and pathways for healing. Whether you’re seeking purpose, coping with a loss, or hoping to shift your perspective, I’m here to guide you through a transformative process tailored to your unique needs.
Couples Counseling
Couples counseling offers a supportive environment where partners can work together to address and overcome relationship challenges. Whether you’re dealing with frequent arguing, mistrust, intimacy issues, or navigating life transitions, reaching out for couples therapy can be a transformative step.
I believe that problems are problems, people are not problems. What if you don’t actually have a bad partner, but just need a new way of facing a bad problem? My hope is to help you and your partner get back on the same team, fostering a collaborative approach to facing difficulties. Together, we’ll work on growing your understanding of each other and seeking clarity for what the relationship is needing. If you’re wanting to restore harmony, deepen your intimacy, or simply enhance your relationship, I’m here to support you in this journey.

My approach is grounded in cultural competence, and I am committed to supporting clients from all walks of life with sensitivity and respect.
FAQs

Michael White, the founder of Narrative Therapy said: "Narrative therapy is a way of working with people that acknowledges the central role that stories play in our lives. It is based on the premise that people make sense of their lives through the stories they tell, and that these stories can be re-authored to create new meanings and possibilities."
Narrative therapy is a therapeutic approach that views problems as separate from individuals. Instead of focusing on diagnosing or labeling, narrative therapy helps clients explore and reframe the stories they tell about their lives. By externalizing challenges and connecting clients with their values and strengths, this approach aims to uncover new perspectives and possibilities for change. Through collaborative dialogue and questions, narrative therapy empowers individuals and couples to rewrite their narratives, fostering greater self-understanding and personal agency.

In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative and conversational approach. I primarily use talk therapy, where I’ll ask therapeutic questions to help us explore your life, challenges, and the directions you’d like to move toward. I believe it's important to understand who you are beyond the problems you're facing, so in our first session, we’ll spend some time getting to know you on a deeper level. This helps us identify the strengths and resources you already have to face your challenges. Each session lasts 50 minutes, giving us ample time to dive into meaningful discussions that support your growth and healing.
